National Spots for Walk MS

Direct-Edit is wrapping up a great project – a series of 5 national PSA’s for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society promoting Walk MS and Bike MS, their top annual fundraising events. Mark Serratoni wrote and produced the spots working with Sandi Genova serving as executive producer out of the National MS offices in Denver. Shot on location in southern California and in the rolling farmland north of Denver, CO., there were significant challenges making the spots look generic enough for play in all 50 states. In early spring, watch for the spots in local markets across the country and possibly some national cable, broadcast and in theater exposure. When you do see the spots, get involved in your community event and help us advance the fight against Multiple Sclerosis.

Direct-Edit has just wrapped post production on “Be Well! Fish On!”. This video introduces Reel Recovery, a group that takes men with cancer on all expense paid fishing retreats. Telling the story of the good work being done by Denver based charity Seeds of Hope required a first hand introduction to the inner city schools they serve. Associate producer Michelle Lowry teamed with editrix Jessica Winkler to weave together this compelling video that captures the essence of the Seeds of Hope mission: to make Catholic education available to economically disadvantaged children. Pulmonary Fibrosis PSA

Direct-Edit has completed production on a third commercial in a public service campaign for the Coalition for Pulmonary Fibrosis based in San Jose, California. The spots feature country western singer / song writer Joe Nichols who lost his father Mike to Pulmonary Fibrosis, an incurable disease. The commercials tell how Joe’s loyal fans started the Mike Nichols foundation to help support the Coalition for Pulmonary Fibrosis and to accelerate research that will someday find a cure for this terminal disease. Teresa Barns, Vice president of outreach and advocacy for the CPF, served as executive producer. Bryan Hagar directed and edited.
