MCA Denver commissioned this short film on Energy Effects, an exhibit running through the summer at Denver’s cutting edge Museum of Contemporary Art. Using frame rate manipulation, hand held lighting effects and a steady floor dolly (Levi Jensen did a great job as grip), we brought cinematic life to this stationary exhibition of a real world atomic particle accelerator which was built by the artist.

March 8-14 is National Multiple Sclerosis Week. Mark Serratoni of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society returned to Direct-Edit to produce this 13 Screen Jumbotron Extravaganza that will be playing in Times Square throughout the month. Direct-Edit is nationally recognized for our work in “New Media” including digital signage, point of purchase video displays and an occasional 14 story tall multi-screen syncopated display. The migrating Sandhill Cranes are returning to the Platte River Valley and Direct-Edit is selling copies of “Sanctuary: Sandhill Cranes on the Platte River”. Our friends at MCA Denver, the Museum of Contemporary Art, where kind enough to choose Direct-Edit for the production of their 2009 Holiday Greeting. Sarah Baie teamed with museum director Adam Lerner to come up with this not so typical holiday greeting concept. In the TV business they say you should never work with small dogs or children. No fear here from this crowd as they pulled off this rather complex single tracking shot with no less than 20 extras and a marching band. Bryan Hagar directed. Pixel Princess Jessica Winkler edited. Over 2000 people watched on YouTube, downloaded the podcast or on viewed on a custom designed web video player within 48 hours of distribution.
